REGULATIONS
of the International Сompetition entitled «Ahal-Teke horse –
a perfect example of beauty» for paintings, sculptures, jewelry,
carpet art and photographs that artistically depicting the beauty
of Akhal-Teke horses, within the framework of the World Championship of Equestrian Sports and Beauty among
Akhal-Teke horses to be held in the Netherlands
The Akhal-Teke horse is the national pride of the Turkmen people and one of the valuable treasures of the world cultural heritage. The International Competition for Paintings, Sculptures, Jewelry, Carpet Works and Photographs Artistically Depicting the Beauty of the Akhal-Teke Horses as part of the World Championship of Equestrian Sports and Beauty Contests among Akhal-Teke Horses to be held in the Netherlands from September
4 to 6, 2026 (hereinafter referred to as the – «International Competition») is held with the aim of widely promoting the historical significance, unique features of its beauty and international fame of the Akhal-Teke horse, developing equestrian art and strengthening friendly relations between nations.
The purpose of the international competition:
— to artistically glorify the natural beauty of Akhal-Teke horses
in works of art;
— popularization of the beauty of Akhal-Teke horses and global recognition of their greatness;
— to encourage creative representatives of fine and applied arts,
to identify young artists;
— to establish cultural cooperation between artists of the peoples
of the world.
Organizers of the International Competition:
— International Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding Association;
— European Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding Association;
— The State Association «Turkmen atlary»;
— Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
Terms and Conditions of the International Competition:
— The International Competition is held in the fields of painting, sculpture, jewelry, carpet weaving and photography, which glorify the beauty of Akhal-Teke horses.
— To analyze the works submitted to the International Competition,
a Structural Working Group is jointly established by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan? The State Association “Turkmen atlary”, the Turkmen State Publishing Service, and the State Association “Turkmenhaly” (hereinafter referred to as the “Working Group”).
— The International Competition is open to all applicants with their work.
— Works and photographs submitted to the International Competition must depict the true natural image of Akhal-Teke horses in an academic artistic manner.
Paintings:
There are no restrictions regarding the size or materials used for paintings. Artists are free to choose the format, materials, and techniques they deem appropriate for their works.
Jewelry:
Jewelry works shall consist of a set of horse ornaments (large and small bridle, breastplate, saddle) made of precious metals and decorated with precious stones, appropriate for the size of the Akhal-Teke horses.
Sculpture:
There are no restrictions regarding the size or materials used for the sculptures. Sculptors are free to choose the dimensions, materials, and techniques they deem appropriate for their work.
Carpet Works:
Carpet works shall be hand-woven carpets featuring images of
Akhal-Teke horses.
Photographs:
The quality and format of photographs must meet the following standards for professional evaluation by the jury:
Format and resolution: photographs must be submitted electronically
in JPEG or TIFF format, with a high resolution (at least 300 DPI) to allow
for printing for exhibition.
Size restrictions: for example, the work must be between 30x40 cm and 60x90 cm, with a minimum of 3000 pixels, or the file size must be not less than 5 MB and not more than 20 MB.
Photos submitted to the International Competition must be taken during 2026 and must not exceed 2 in number.
It is prohibited to alter original content of a photograph, add elements to it, remove existing elements (including the deletion of objects through retouching), or use elements generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Members of the jury cannot participate in the International Competition with their own works.
Works submitted to the International Competition will be returned.
Procedure for submitting works to the competition:

The works approved at the meetings of the State Organizing Committee are exhibited on September 4–5, 2026 in a special area at the Pilbergen Equestrian Sports Complex in Kronenberg, Netherlands, and are presented to the jury for consideration and appropriate decisions are made.
Participants in the International Competition must send their personal information and works created (name, surname, photo, exact address of the place of work, study, residence, telephone number and email address) in electronic form to the Working Committee.

The composition of the Jury is composed of famous foreign and
Turkmen creative workers, horse breeders, and experienced specialists.
